- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup colorful sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually incorporate this into the wet mixture until just combined. Avoid over-mixing!
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips and sprinkles (if using).
- Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden but centers remain soft. Let cool on sheets before transferring to wire racks.
