Ingredients
- 1 pound flank steak
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- Cooking oil
Instructions
- Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips. Wash and cut the broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and cornstarch to create the marinade. Mix well.
- Add beef strips to the marinade and let sit for at least 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté broccoli for 3 minutes until bright green but crisp; set aside.
- In the same skillet, add more oil if needed and cook marinated beef for about 4 minutes until browned.
- Return broccoli to the skillet with beef, pour remaining marinade over everything, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
