- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cloves fresh garlic
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Sear them for 6-8 minutes on each side until browned.
- Pour tomato sauce evenly over the chicken and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Generously sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese on top of the saucy chicken.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
