- 8 oz pasta (fettuccine, penne, or linguine)
- 2 cups fresh mushrooms (sliced, cremini or button)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
- ½ cup chicken or vegetable broth
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in minced garlic during the last minute.
- Pour in heavy cream and add chicken or vegetable broth. Let it simmer gently for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
- Season with salt, pepper, and thyme leaves.
- Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce until evenly coated.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
