Ingredients
- 1 cup long-grain white or jasmine rice
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the rinsed rice and toast for an additional minute.
- Pour in the broth along with salt and pepper; stir well.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
- Remove from heat, let sit covered for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork before serving.
