Instructions
- In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until onions are translucent.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes and kidney beans; mix well.
- Sprinkle in chili powder and cumin; combine thoroughly.
- Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with cheese or fresh herbs if desired.
