Ingredients
- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs (or panko)
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg (beaten)
- Olive oil (for sautéing)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness and season with salt and pepper.
- Coat each piece in flour, dip in beaten egg, then press into breadcrumbs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken until golden brown on both sides.
- Place chicken in the baking dish, top with marinara sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
