Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown but centers remain soft.
- Let cool on baking sheets for five minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
