Ingredients
- 3–4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup fresh basil pesto (preferably homemade)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper before placing them in the prepared baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix together heavy cream, basil pesto, minced garlic, and Parmesan cheese until well combined.
- Pour the sauce over the seasoned chicken and cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the foil during the last five minutes of baking for slight browning if desired.
- Serve hot, drizzling extra sauce on top.
