- 1 head green or savoy cabbage
- 1 pound smoked or spicy sausage
- 1 medium onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Wash and shred half a head of cabbage into bite-sized pieces. Chop one onion and mince three cloves of garlic.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown sliced sausage for about 5-7 minutes until golden.
- Remove the sausage, then sauté chopped onion and minced garlic in the same skillet until translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
- Add shredded cabbage and browned sausage back to the skillet; stir well to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper, cooking until the cabbage wilts down (about 8-10 minutes). Serve hot.
