Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast; let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Stir in olive oil and gradually add flour until combined.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in an oiled bowl covered with plastic wrap; let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Punch down risen dough and roll it out into desired thickness on a floured surface.
- Transfer dough to parchment paper if needed; spread tomato sauce evenly over the base.
