  • Total Time: 55 minutes
  • Yield: Makes approximately 16 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (sifted)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 8 oz full-fat cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1 large egg (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter with sugar until well combined. Stir in cocoa powder, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Sift together flour and salt separately, then gently fold into the brownie batter until just combined.
  4. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, egg, and vanilla; mix until creamy.
  5. Spread half the brownie batter into the pan. Dollop cheesecake mixture on top and swirl in sliced strawberries. Pour remaining brownie batter over the cheesecake layer and swirl gently.
  6. Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
