- 1 lb pizza dough
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup crumbled gorgonzola cheese
- ½ cup shredded fontina cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Let the pizza dough sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before rolling.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a 12-inch diameter.
- Transfer the rolled dough onto a baking sheet or pizza stone and drizzle with olive oil, spreading evenly.
- Layer on the mozzarella slices first, followed by parmesan, gorgonzola, and fontina.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from oven and top with fresh basil leaves; let cool slightly before slicing.
