- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined.
- Mix in milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until just blended (lumps are okay).
- Knead gently on a floured surface for 1–2 minutes until smooth.
- Roll dough to ½ inch thick and cut out donuts using a cutter. Let rest on parchment paper while heating oil to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry each donut for about 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form, then fill cooled donuts using a piping bag.
