- 4 medium Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples, cored and sliced
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Wash, core, and slice the apples into half-inch wedges.
- In a bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Toss apple slices with lemon juice then coat evenly with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Grease a baking dish with melted butter and arrange the apple slices in it.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and tender.
- Serve warm, optionally topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
