- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup diced fresh apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and granulated sugar.
- In another bowl, mix milk and egg until well combined. Gradually pour into dry ingredients while stirring gently; lumps are okay.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes per side).
- Remove fritters and drain on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
