- 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the milk, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently to avoid overmixing.
- Fold in the chopped apples until evenly distributed.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Drain fritters on paper towels and drizzle with a glaze made from whisking powdered sugar and milk together.
