- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Food coloring (various colors)
- Optional toppings: sprinkles or nuts
Instructions
- Gather equipment: a medium saucepan and an 8-inch square baking dish lined with parchment paper.
- In the saucepan over low heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and butter. Stir until melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- If using multiple colors, divide the mixture and add food coloring one drop at a time until desired vibrancy is achieved.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly with a spatula. Add desired toppings on top.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm. Once set, cut into squares and enjoy!
