  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chunks
  • 1 cup Easter candy (mini eggs)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in both sugars until combined.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool slightly before whisking in the eggs one at a time and then adding vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and Easter candy until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until set but soft in the center.
