- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips or chunks
- 1 cup Easter candy (mini eggs)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in both sugars until combined.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly before whisking in the eggs one at a time and then adding vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, mix cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and Easter candy until evenly distributed.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until set but soft in the center.
