- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
- ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ cup colorful sprinkles
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by combining warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let sit until foamy (5-10 minutes).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and cinnamon. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter; mix until combined.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread melted butter over it, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar and colorful sprinkles. Roll tightly into a log.
- Cut into even pieces (about 12) and place in a greased baking dish. Let rise again for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth and drizzle over warm rolls.
