- 2 slices halal sourdough bread
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Prepare by gathering all ingredients and clearing your workspace.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk the egg until well combined. In another bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs with garlic powder and paprika.
- Lay two slices of bread flat; layer cheddar cheese between them. Dip each sandwich in the egg mixture, then coat in the breadcrumb mix.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and melt butter.
- Grill sandwiches for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crunchy.
- Let cool slightly before slicing into triangles.
