Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Pita bread or rice, for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the Meat Mixture: In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, minced garlic, chopped parsley, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Shape the Koftas: Wet your hands slightly and shape the mixture into oval patties about 2-3 inches long.
- Chill Before Cooking: Place shaped koftas on parchment-lined tray and chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- Make the Mint Sauce: Combine yogurt, chopped mint leaves, and lemon juice in a bowl; mix until smooth.
- Cook the Koftas: Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook koftas for 4-5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
- Serve & Enjoy: Plate koftas with warm pita or rice and drizzle generously with mint sauce.
