- 1 sheet puff pastry (store-bought)
- 2 oz dark chocolate (high-quality)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 2 tbsp milk (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, unroll the puff pastry and cut it into triangles about 5 inches wide at the base.
- Place a small piece of dark chocolate near the base of each triangle.
- Roll each triangle tightly from the base to the tip and pinch edges to seal.
- In a bowl, whisk together the egg and milk for the egg wash; brush over each croissant.
- Sprinkle with granulated sugar before placing on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
