Ingredients
- 3 to 4 pounds of chuck roast
- 1 packet of ranch dressing mix
- 1 packet of au jus gravy mix
- 1/2 cup of pepperoncini peppers (with juice)
- 1 stick of unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the chuck roast generously with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear the roast on all sides until browned (about 3-4 minutes per side).
- Transfer the seared roast to your slow cooker.
- Sprinkle ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix over the meat.
- Add the pepperoncini peppers and their juice on top.
- Place the stick of butter on top.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until fork-tender.
