- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 3 cups beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
- Add ground beef; cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in elbow macaroni, beef broth, ketchup, and mustard; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for about 10 minutes until pasta is al dente.
- Remove from heat; stir in cheddar cheese until melted.
- Serve hot, garnished with pickles or crushed chips if desired.
