Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually combine with wet ingredients.
- Fold in chocolate chips gently.
- Scoop dough onto prepared sheets, spacing them about two inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
