- 4 medium ripe tomatoes (sliced)
- 8 oz halal mozzarella (sliced)
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Salt (to taste)
- Freshly cracked black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Wash and dry the tomatoes. Slice them into thick rounds.
- Slice the halal mozzarella into similar thickness.
- On a large platter, alternate layers of tomatoes and mozzarella, adding fresh basil leaves between each layer.
- Season generously with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
- Drizzle olive oil and balsamic glaze over the top.
- Serve immediately or cover lightly with plastic wrap until ready to serve.
