- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4 lemons)
- Zest of 2 lemons
- 24 ladyfingers (savoiardi)
- 2 tbsp limoncello (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest until smooth.
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into the mascarpone mixture until combined.
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into lemon juice or limoncello for a few seconds.
- Layer dipped ladyfingers in a serving dish followed by a layer of the cream mixture. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with cream on top.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
