Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 package (1.75 oz) fruit pectin
Instructions
- Prepare your strawberries by washing them thoroughly and slicing them into halves or quarters.
- In a large pot over medium heat, combine the sliced strawberries and sugar. Cook until bubbling and fragrant (about 5-10 minutes).
- Stir in lemon juice and fruit pectin, ensuring everything dissolves completely.
- Increase heat to high and bring the mixture to a rolling boil. Cook while stirring constantly until thickened (approximately 10-15 minutes).
- To test consistency, place a spoonful on a cold plate; if it holds its shape, it's ready.
- Ladle hot jam into sterilized jars, seal tightly, and let cool before refrigerating.
