  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup chopped pecans plus extra for topping

Method
 

Prepare the Batter
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the butter pecan cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs.
  3. Whisk the ingredients together until well combined and smooth.
  4. Fold in the chopped pecans.
Bake the Cake
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  3. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Serve
