Method
Prepare the Batter
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the butter pecan cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs.
- Whisk the ingredients together until well combined and smooth.
- Fold in the chopped pecans.
Bake the Cake
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Serve
- Once cooled, top with additional chopped pecans if desired and slice into squares to serve.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding a cream cheese frosting or a simple glaze on top of the cake.
