peanut butter rice krispie treats

Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup peanut butter creamy or crunchy
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter for melting
  • 1/2 cup honey or corn syrup

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and honey together until smooth.
  2. Stir in the peanut butter until fully combined and melted.
  3. Remove from heat and add the mini marshmallows, stirring until they are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, add the Rice Krispies cereal and pour the melted mixture over it.
  5. Gently fold the cereal into the mixture until evenly coated.
  6. Press the mixture into a greased 9x9 inch baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  7. Allow to cool at room temperature for about 10 minutes before cutting into squares.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
